The Lebanese Cancer Society is committed to the fight against cancer. In this endeavor, it sets up several priorities:
•
Prevention: Including anti-smoking campaign, dietary counseling, and awareness of cancer alarms’ signs.
•
Screening and early diagnosis of common cancers: information targeting the physicians and the public.
•
Treatment: Education for the improvement of the quality of diagnosis and of medical care is our goal.
•
Quality of Life and psycho-social aspect of cancer: Palliative care programs are being proposed to help the patient.
•
Home Care delivery: This is a needed option which provides professional, familial and social support to the patient.
•
Cancer: Cancer survivors need help in order to resume normal life.
•
Patient’s advocacy: The society is doing its best in order to promote the interests of the patient.
•
Research: The society encourages investigators in the field of cancer.
